These weren't simply naughty cartoons but were intended to make the reader think about what they were laughing about. Sometimes that meant offending, other times it meant dealing with subjects that were off limits to polite conversation. No topics were taboo to Larry Flynt with his Hustler cartoons. The more outrageous the better. That's the way Larry Flynt wanted it and that's how I Dan Collins tried to draw these naughty cartoons but with my own sense of humor and with perhaps a touch of boyish charm that would create an appealing piece of graphic humor.
